Mr. Michael Knox
Through College Program Coordinator & Alumni Director
Michael Knox is a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Columbia. He earned a B.S. in Management and Marketing, and a Master’s in Business Education. He began his educational career in Greenville County in 2007 as a teacher at Woodmont High School. The following year he moved to Columbia, and began teaching at Columbia High School for seven years. In 2015 he relocated to Greenville and taught at Greenville Technical Charter High School, and he later began teaching at Legacy Early College in 2016. At Legacy, Mr. Knox was over community service, the after school director, a mentor-teacher, and the 12th grade advisory chair. During Mr. Knox’s eleven years as a classroom teacher, his passion to help his scholars succeed is very evident. With that same desire and drive, Mr. Knox will serve as the Legacy Alumni Director.
As the Alumni Director, Mr. Knox will serve as the liaison between students, alumni, higher education institutions, and Legacy staff. However, his main goal is to assist Legacy students with transition from high school to higher education and ensure college success and retention. As the Alumni Director, Mr. Knox stands behind Legacy’s scholars 100%, and Legacy’s mission to see all scholars to and through college.
Every senior who graduates from Legacy recieves $500 every semester they apply for our Legacy Early College Scholarship Program. Only scholars who Graduate Legacy may apply once a semester while in College. Legacy scholars can recieve a total of $4,000 to help meet college needs. Apply for the Legacy Scholarship
